New Changes Coming Soon: A NEW Band Directory

As you might have noticed on the SKA Toolbar, the featured band list hasn't been updated in months. Why? Well... I've been looking into ways that the list can be made more comprehensive - not just linking to a band's MySpace, but to their official website, iLike, PureVolume, Facebook, etc. I also wanted to make user submissions easier. I also want to make the lists available to a broader crowd by featuring them simultaneously on the toolbar, SKAspot, and SKA Summit. Well... thanks to ListPhile, this may be possible sooner than we think. I'm working on (though it's taking a while) transitioning to the new list format. You may notice a new menu on the far right end of the toolbar. The problem is that it takes a while to move more than 500 bands from one menu to another. On top of that, I want to ensure that I include links to each bands other profiles on various sites. This is where users come in. Listphile allows for contributors to add submissions. In order to make sure we don't end up with any fraudulent submissions, I have setting set for me to approve submissions, however, it's much easier to submit than it was with the old toolbar list form. If you'd like to help by adding your favorite band, please visit the link below and click on the letter of the alphabet you'd like to add to. Please keep submissions in the correct category and make sure the title of the link reflects what the site is ("MySpace", "Official Website", "PureVolume", "iLike", etc.) Anyways... here's the link.
