OK people, here's a thought. Instead of sitting around bleating about how bad the ska scene is in "Dog Patch" or where ever you live, why don't you do some thing about it?. Has your fav Ska band got a "Street Team"?, Is there anything YOU can do to promote Ska music in your area. The Adjusters Our Town.

This video keeps getting deleted by ignorant idiots who, just don't listen, or understand. The song is a protest about life in Chicago, the economic down turn, and AGAINST a local polititians answer of closing the borders down, and removing immigrants, as an answer. 4th Wave

The question is, time for a 4th wave or a return to basics?. If you don’t know the history, how can you move forward, this is as true for life in general, as it is for ska music. Too many of the groups around now, that claim to play ska today, really don’t have a clue, and are playing anything but ska, it’s just not good enough to play thrash, skate/surf/hardcore punk, toss in the odd horn break, maybe a nod towards a 4/4 beat, and claim to be 3rd wave ska. "The life of a musician, particularly if you play music that is not quite the mainstream can be difficult. Take The Resignators for example. The six people who make up the band all have jobs outside of the band, Ellen is a teacher, Naf makes tacos, Tom is a security guard, Beau has a host of hospitality jobs, Chris is searching for work and I'm a security supervisor of a shopping centre.
