About Me:

Hey I'm Zach. I play guitar and trombone. I picked up the 'bone because of my man Dan Regan. Where I live no one knows what ska is. There was a point in time when, if somebody asked me what kind of music I listened to I would explain the history of ska- what it sounds like, the roots,1st wave, 2nd wave, 3rd wave, and all of that good stuff (which would last a minimum of 30-60 minutes). Years later I'm used to people being turned off as soon as they hear "most ska bands include a brass section". I'm still as enthusiastic as ever though- if I ever meet a fellow rudeboy or girl I'll immediately proceed to flip a shit!! I love ska and it's hard as hell (I realize that simile makes no sense) to not be able to talk about it with anybody. Oh yeah one more thing- fake people. For some reason I've been told because you can't see my forehead I have no knowledge of punk or ska. A kid actually said this to me once (he was wearing a Misfits jacket with studs all over and combat boots) to which I replied "Name 5 punk bands". He couldn't name any bands other than the ones he was wearing. Then I blew him out of the water with a long list of punk bands and then I told him facts about the bands he was wearing. Just sayin'- don't judge a book by it's cover and don't be a dick.
