I would head to Cali for that for sure. I saw the Specials at a warp tour in Austin almost 10 years ago and it was awesome, also a tease with such a short set.
I prefer trad and trad revival, but also like a lot of 3rd wave. I think 4th wave is a stupid term. 3rd wave already mixed hardcore,ska,funk,rock, anything, and music is always progressive, so I don't get it. I do like some ska-punk and skacore.
Ska is dead in Houston was amazing. It was ike it was 1999 instead of 2009. Sold out and cramed enough to piss of any bastard fire marshall, and a real positive show as well. Security overacted a bit as people who knew how to dance proper non agre...

Feel like co-writing? I'm working on a film where some small town kids set off ontheir first diy tour and run into a series of crap that I've experianced being in touring bands myself. From there it get hilariously out of control.

- I booked a show for them in Phoenix a few years ago when they were the Shake Up!, but the turnout was pretty small... they haven't been back haha oh well, that's Phoenix. But they're rad guys/girls. I'll chack out that band from Texas, thanks for the tip!

- The Kingpins came down to Phoenix once RIGHT before they changed their name and were literally saying "next week we're gonna change our name to Lo and the Magnetics" haha so their set was about half kingpins half magnetics. They rip so hard!
