But Dammers isn't a part of the reunion line-up, is he, or did I miss news of some kind of reconciliation? (I don't care who's in the band this time around, if the *founder* and *principal songwriter* isn't a part of it, I feel greatly uneasy abou...
It makes total sense to pursue legal action. I don't even like Sublime - in fact, I downright detest them -, but even I have to cringe at the notion of this reunion. This isn't being done for any artistic purpose on behalf of the surviving band me...
One could argue, though, that basic ska-punk ruins real ska. Ska-core is an entirely separate entity from ska, such as reggaeton is from reggae...the fanbases rarely overlap and even the uninitiated are able to separate the two: the fans have the ...
I like hardcore, but like my taste of "punk", it's very selective. Bands such as Black Flag wear on me with repetitious beats and hypermasculine attitude...it also bugs me how the emphasis is primarily on the lyricism, which is almost entirely obs...

Hey, you might already know, but.. powerpop band Sloan just put out a new record last month, and it even has a ska-ish track (Too Many)! A lot of it is pretty good. Check it out, if you havent yet!
And no, I'm not the captain of Sloan's street team or anything, just remembering you dig the power pop and the ska.
shoot me an email at chrisdamaddog@gmail.com with your cell # and I'll shoot you mine so I can hook you up with some show info for your stay on the east coast.
