yeah, I'll help ya out! I'd be very interested in the results of your study, seeing as how I'm a business student, and one of the things I'm thinking about doing with my life is opening a record store...awesome!
I don't think you get my point...THIS IS TERRIBLE MUSIC AND A BASTARDIZATION OF WHAT SKA REALLY IS! This is the reason nobody can take ska music seriously anymore!
and trust me, I'm not bashing all ska-core...I LOVE the Bosstones, The Blue Meanies, the Suicide Machines, Bomb The Music Industry (I guess they're skacore), etc etc...there are some bands I do like...but most of Ska-core has seriously let me down...
Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Big D and the Kids Table, The Slackers, The Pietasters, Bomb the Music Industry!, Catch 22, Streetlight Manifesto, Mad Caddies, Madness, Operation Ivy, The Aggrolites, the Aquabats, Sublime, The Arrogant sons of Bitches, The Chinkees, The Cat Empire, The Johnstones, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Planet Smashers, The Specials, The Toasters, Westbound Train, Less than Jake, Rancid

About Me:
Been listening to Ska for 5 years...I'm 21, business major, music minor from Charleston SC....I play percussion/keyboards/drums, and am looking to start a ska band in this area...although interest and lack of talented musicians have kept me from doing so....that's about it....if you wanna chat me up, my AIM is skapunk6655321....
Catch-it Kebabs from Yorkshire in England are one of the hardest working bands on the UK scene, notching up over 100 gigs a year . This year sees the 18-legged ska-beast turn 7 years old, and to celebrate this they are giving away their NEW SINGLE for FREE for 1 month prior to the release. To get this FREE goodies all you have to do is register before the 27th June!
You can register by visiting: www.catchitkebabs.co.uk and filling the form in (Takes 30 secs max.), and you will receive the track on the 28th/29th June just before it's official release.
We are also building up a database of peoples age, music pref etc. so we can build up an idea of the current scene. So please reply to your email and help create the ska census 2008.
Awesome. I am planning on attending warped. Maybe we can carpool or something. I am in desperate need of drums, and am interested in a kit...but finances suck right now as I've just moved from California to Charleston. I wouldn't mind seeing Rancid again, they're awesome. I'm in need of a playing fix though. Have you run into anyone else that plays? Bass? Horns? Skankyfooties?
I didnt even know they were here. I am out of the loop still. Got my head buried in work hell. Email me at josh[dot]hounshell[at]gmail[dot]com and maybe we can hang out at the next show. I play drums, but have no drums at the moment. Have been playing for 20 years...see also: myspace.com/sandpaperlove. i am also working on bringing a few west coast bands out here, where did LTJ play? and what is coming up?
