Hey there! Please add the Uptones to Philly's outta town bands...
We at ska4u have a band roster, too. Feel free to duplicate, add, suggest or comment. We aim to create a ska band friendly hub on the west coast!

old head from Philly! played in a reggae/ska/punk band back in the day called 5 Story Fall. we played punk shows and had a laugh and a great time...we were the band punks could dance to, and we were popular locally, actually. good times, fer sher. right about now, enjoying the older ska/rocksteady sounds of Jamaica and the two tone era, especially the English Beat. among other things. oh yeah, and Toots is your pop.

on a different wavelength maybe then other folks, but peace to all Philly area peeps just the same from South Philly.

don't know current ska bands in Philly (anyone?), but in the reggae department Iron rocks plenty. enjoyed a great show from them recently with Rob Paine & company spinning awesome reggae/rocksteady tracks beforehand, and Wlllyum tearing it up on the house vibe post. Filos had an awesome dancehall night in recent years, with old school vibes up front, and dancehall vibes post. very nice, indeed, and folks that knew the music on the spinning and listening ends definitely.

up for hearing about any Philly happenings involving ska/reggae/rocksteady, especially more trad sounds.
