Yeah, I'm not that much into Hardcore. But like Lala said, Bad Brains... Also Black Flag, 7 Seconds, Gorilla Biscuits, Angry Samoans. Some people consider the Dead Kennedys and Bad Religion hardcore, and I'm a fan of both,

if dead kennedys are hardcore than than they are my favorite hardcore band. so yeah

Fucked Up. Charles Bronson. Hour of the Wolf.
Great hardcore bands, but nothing to do with ska?

in many ska scenes hXc is related. I have been to many headlining Ct ska shows where there were alot of hXc bands. hXc could be consitered the brother or more like the cousin of ska

I see punk and ska artists listed together at many sites but usually not with hardcore. Never been into hardcore, XM radio had a hardcore channel(42?) and never got though more than 1 or 2 songs. Its mostly ska, some punk, a few rockabilly/psycobilly bands along the lines of the horrorpops.

How look what they started. Im getting google ads (over there ----->) for hair and metal bands

TFT of course. A Billion Ernies and The Best of The Worst.

And yes... harcore & ska have been fused together for years.

I like hardcore, but like my taste of "punk", it's very selective. Bands such as Black Flag wear on me with repetitious beats and hypermasculine attitude...it also bugs me how the emphasis is primarily on the lyricism, which is almost entirely obscured by unintelligible singing. Thus, I lean more towards experimental bands like Flipper, The Dicks, Big Boys, and hardcore-derivatives such as Meat Puppets, Minutemen and early Husker Du.

Unless you mean that in such a way that *every single genre of music* is connected to ska in a karmically, musically universal manner, then that is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard in relation to ska music. Really. I mean no offense to YOU, only the words that you type.

Hardcore and ska have been fused together, yes, (is there a genre ska has yet to be fused with?) but considering it "the brother" is too much. Now, *punk* can be considered a cousin, as can be jazz, but hardcore is TOO far out there, both in sound, compositional structure, cultural heritage and how seldom bands actually meld the two together.
