Where SKAspotters Socialize!

Andrew Lyons

If you live in California, what bands would you like to see at 3FOS 2009?

Bucket Hingley is bringing his 3 Floors Of Ska show to the Knitting Factory in Hollywood on Feb. 7th, 2009.

So what bands would you like to see perform?

(Keep in mind that Reel Big Fish and Streelight Manifesto are probably out of Bucket's budget. But both bands will perform at The House Of Blues on Sunset in January.)

PS: Keep up to date on all 3FOS bulletins. Join CA SKA here on Ska Summit!

Hepcat. I hear they're playing some shows in December, so maybe they'd want to play?
Half Past Two. I hate to promote these guys (I know them) but they are really good and they have a really strong following around these parts. Solid Ska-rock band.

This is hard, most of the groups I'm thinking of wouldn't probably be able to make it. I'll post again later, I guess.

Possibilities:
The Allentons
The (English) Beat
GoGo13
Joey Altruda/Jump with Joey
Raskahuele
RiceRokit
See Spot
The Skeletones

Long Shots?:
Go Jimmy Go
Goldfish Don't Bounce
Fishbone
Monkey
The Pietasters
The Untouchables

And, my own personal choice, the Cherry Poppin' Daddies. Their newest album has a lot of ska and reggae and they have more than enough ska and rock-with-horns tunes to fill a 30/45 minute set.

Pick good bands. haha.

I'd really like to see Hepcat again. Don't think I'd be able to make the upcoming show unfortunately.
Oh of course augie, Amalgamated! =]
I really do love those guys.
The Bashments are a new band out from Ontario, Ca.
Pretty sick stuff.
And of course, its always good to see See Spot.

Oh I'd kill to see Go Jimmy Go here.

I miss Goldfish Don't Bounce...but they were best with the Girl singer in the band and when the sax guy looked homeless!

Did they break up? I only saw them a couple of times, but I remember how great they were, especially since I usually despise any sort of "reggae-rock" hybrid.

Only one request from me and I'll be a pretty happy puppy, The Slackers.
Also another vote for Half-Past 2 and Buddha Bomb real cool bands, and nice people.
Ohh and if you could speed up all this Specials reunion thing and get them there that'd be pretty swell.
