Coachella 2010

Has anyone else heard rumors that Madness and the original Specials will be playing Coachella in 2010?

I hadn't, but wherever Madness is in Southern California is where I will undoubtedly be.

If this is true, it might be the one time I'd ever want to go to Coachella.

...And since it's in SoCal and the English Beat are out of there now, maybe they should play too, in fact why dont they just have a Dance Craze reunion at Coachella?! Bad Manners, Seleter, Bodysnatchers, all of 'em. Sounds like a good idea to me.

That would be insane!!!!! and i heard that rumor like 3 years ago so im hoping for the specials and madness at least.

I heard the same thing! but it might be a rumor. but it's a good chance that the specials might play.

I hope so. I know most of the specials want to tour the US including Terry, but Mr. Dammers wants to do like one or two big shows and head back. Who knows maybe that will be coachella!! I was lucky enough to see them live once in hollywood, but without terry hall so it would be cool to see the original crew.

But Dammers isn't a part of the reunion line-up, is he, or did I miss news of some kind of reconciliation? (I don't care who's in the band this time around, if the *founder* and *principal songwriter* isn't a part of it, I feel greatly uneasy about it.)

Come on, though...you don't need Dammers if you've got Hall, Golding and Staple by themselves. Hello? Fun Boy Three reunion. I'd pay to see that.

Dammers hasn't played any shows with them so far, I saw them at Glastonbury festival, UK this year with Madness, and they were both superb :) hope they do the US shows

I would head to Cali for that for sure. I saw the Specials at a warp tour in Austin almost 10 years ago and it was awesome, also a tease with such a short set.

Defently no dammers, saw em last wednesday and friday and terry called him scrooge and a twat!
Also saw madness in the summer, 2 hours ill never get back! Each to there won tho
