what do i have to do to get a decent ska community around the dallas area... i try to get people to listen to ska, but i cant drag people to concerts if there is none to take them to!!! so what im trying to say is that major or medium size ska bands should try to make it to the dallas fort worth area so i can bring people and maybe meet like minded ska fans at clubs.

Houston is off the chain right now. I went to the Toasters show and it was like how it use to be during the Ska craze of the 90s. Sold out venue, It was amazing to see. We got Slackers at Slackfest and the Skatalites next week as well. If I get my new band up and running, I promise to come to Dallas as well.

dallas actually has alot of shows coming right now for all the ska punks. big d is coming and less than jake................ but most importantly (and this is just hearsay) that english beat and fishbone are coming.


but im going to see the slackers two days in a row whose gonna be there?

you should check out some the clubs in the dallas area. u may not hear ska bands, but i see some selecters (djs) from that area doing stuff.

these folks play a variety of choice; soul, reggae, ska, etc.
