Sad news out of Chicago, Drastics drummer/producer/remixer seriuosly injured

We have some sad news regarding our Chicago brothers in arms The Drastics . A few days back drummer/producer/dubmaster Anthony was sideswiped by a semi truck while on his bike a few blocks from his house. Thankfully, he's alive, however he's suffered some seriously broken arms and will be laid up well into 2009, and will have to undergo a ton of physical therapy to come back.

If any of you have been lucky enough to hear Anthony's work with The Drastics , or catch one of his fiery performances on drums with Dr. Ring Ding, Drastics, or King Django, you understand how much of a loss this is to the ska/reggae scene and music in general.

Anthony makes his living as a musician, producer, and artist. He could really use your help in any way at this time.

So... hit up The Drastics and drop him a line, or better yet... Hop on I-tunes and finally pick up that Drastics album you'd been putting off or buy some gear or something! They really need your support right now.

You can hear some of Anthony's work on the upcoming DGB remix record on our myspace page now under "Dubbin' On", one of nine tracks he completed for us out of his love of all things reggae.
