do yourself a favor and ask someone who's work you like who they got their stuff done by. I didn't do this, and my first tattoo is shit, but I love her anyway :)

Haha I was actually suppose to get a tattoo a few weeks ago with my buds but no luck. I'm having a hard time choosing what I want either way, I think I want the checker pattern around my wrist to begin with. Then I think I'm leaning towards getting Ska'd for Life on my upper arm. Hmm so many ideas for what i can do. Anyone else got any tattoo dreams they want to share?

Well, the only piece of advice i would give to you (having more than a few tattoos), is make sure they're "hide-able". i've had a few jobs where tattoos are against the dress code, so if you had a tattoo on your wrist, you'd have to wear long sleeves every day. I'll tell you, that gets to be a pain in the ass! I looked crazy wearing long sleeves during the hot arizona summer.....

Haha i was considering that cause I'm a business major and all (yeah I'm part of the rat race unfortunately) so that might become an issue later. I think I'll take that more into consideration when I go in. Thanks for the advice. And your tattoos are awesome, shame you had to hide them.

I actually work for the corporate side of target, and they're fine with tattoos and piercings. I can freely show my tattoos now, and it's awesome. It's just something you may want to hide in interviews.....if you feel the interview went okay, ask about dress code. Most companies are okay with it now, as long as there is no nudity, profanity, or gang relation.

its funny though....i'm the most heavily tattooed person at the target corp HQ here...

Haha wow that sounds awesome, I do a lot of clerical type jobs and no ones ever says anything about how I dress, so I wouldn't imagine they say anything about a few tattoos. I probably won't have to worry for some time. I think I just need to pick the right tattoos. Actually I was suppose to get my tattoo a few weeks ago at this Tattoo party thrown by some lady friend of mine who works as an accountant, haha go figure, they can have some fun too. Thanks for the help.

dude. don't get anything at a "tattoo party". those are typically unsanitary and done by shitty tattoo artists trying to practice. pay good money for a good tattoo. please trust me.

Spot on Miss Upsetter. A lot of people thing that 'a tattoo is a tattoo is a tattoo...'. when it isn't. Look around, get recommendations, see what you can afford... then save up another 50% and get it done PROPERLY. Remember its with you for life.

As for piercings, can we change the subject? Just had a ladder done and its a bit tender.. £200 well spent though I think

Ahh thank you guys again for the sounds advice, I think it may be sometime before actually get inked then. Sounds like i got a lot more research to do and looking before I find the right one and person to do it. Thanks again for the help in this very lasting decision.

On piercings never had one, I was considering getting one but really don't know what. Plus I don't think I can put up with the maintenance on those kinda things lol.
